The 12.8V 100Ah and 200Ah drop-in LiFePO4 batteries cover most small-system upgrades from lead-acid. Both share the same cells, BMS and lead-acid-standard cases — the choice comes down to energy needs and handling.
Energy and Runtime
The 100Ah model stores 1280Wh and the 200Ah model 2560Wh — and because LiFePO4 discharges safely beyond 90% DOD, both deliver roughly double the usable energy of the same-Ah AGM they replace. A 100Ah unit runs a 100W load for about 12 hours; the 200Ah for about 25.
Weight and Installation
Both fit standard lead-acid battery trays and terminal layouts, so no rewiring is needed when replacing an existing bank.
- 12.8V 100Ah: ~11kg — easy one-person install, ideal for RVs, boats and trolling motors
- 12.8V 200Ah: ~20kg — still liftable, but plan the location; ideal for solar homes and UPS banks
Building Bigger Systems
Both sizes support up to 4 in series (48V) and 4 in parallel. Two 100Ah units in parallel give the same energy as one 200Ah with more flexible placement; a single 200Ah costs less and simplifies wiring. For 48V systems above 5kWh, consider stepping up to a 51.2V wall-mounted or rack-mounted battery instead.
