AGM — The Cost-Effective Workhorse
Sealed AGM batteries offer the lowest upfront cost, high discharge rates and zero maintenance. They remain the right choice for UPS standby, security systems and budget-sensitive solar projects where daily deep cycling is not required. Expect 400–600 cycles at 50% DOD.
GEL — The Harsh-Climate Specialist
Gel electrolyte tolerates heat and deep discharge far better than AGM, with 800–1200 cycles and a 15+ year float design life. For desert, tropical or poorly ventilated sites — and for large 2V stationary banks up to 3000Ah — gel is the proven technology.
LiFePO4 — The Long-Term Value Leader
With 6000+ cycles, one-third the weight and over 90% usable capacity, LiFePO4 delivers the lowest cost per kWh over its life despite a higher purchase price. Drop-in 12V replacements make upgrading existing lead-acid systems straightforward.
